Greg Barradale

About me

I'm an award-winning journalist based in London. I've broken stories on everything from the hidden toll of drug deaths and the money spent reversing Right to Buy, all the way to revealing a chocolate-like statue of Harry Kane and claims about Suella Braverman's photocopying.

I specialise in punchy exclusives and investigative features, all aiming to tell readers about injustices which fall through the cracks.

Most recently, I was a senior reporter at Big Issue, where I worked across print and digital, covering news and investigations, features, culture, and politics.

I was a finalist for 2025's Orwell Prize on Reporting Homelessness, won the news and investigations award at the 2023 MHP 30toWatch awards, and was shortlisted for features writer of the year at the BSME Talent Awards.

My work has also appeared in outlets including the Times and Sunday Times and the Mirror. I have appeared on the PoliticsJOE podcast and the One Show. Before Big Issue, I was the UK Head of News at The Tab, a youth-focused online outlet read by millions each month.
